Since mid-April, Taiwan's immigration administration has raised the daily quota for individual mainland tourists from 3,000 to 4,000.​

At the meeting, the visiting delegation of Shanghai Tourism Industry Association shared their feelings about the 7-day trip to Taiwan's ethnic minority tribes, and announced that they will jointly promote mainland tourists to visit Taiwan's ethnic minority tribal areas "in-depth tour".

The head of the delegation and director of the Shanghai Tourism Administration's Tourism Market Management Office XX introduced that since June 26, 16 Shanghai tourism operators, such as Shanghai CTS, Straits CTS, Shanghai Youth Tourism, and Shanghai Air CTS, have walked into the mountains and rivers of the east coast of Taiwan, focusing on visiting tribal attractions in Yilan, Hualien and Taitung. Including Shulian, Sanzhan, Chimei, Shizupo, Bisili Bank, Duli, not old and other tribes.

​ Many tribal representatives said that the tribe is small and beautiful, so it needs more exquisite, in-depth, high-end tourists to truly appreciate the beauty of the tribe.

A number of Shanghai tourism operators who attended the meeting said that although the trip was short, they had already felt the enthusiasm and sincerity of Taiwan's ethnic minorities and the exquisite and thoughtful service. They will develop corresponding tourism products as soon as possible, and organize mainland tourists to go into the tribal "hometown" and experience good mountains and good water.
